TCP Port Monitor

Our TCP Socket monitor will connect to the specified port from several locations. An alert will trigger if the connection fails, or if the alert is configured to test for the presence of a text string.

Configuration Options

Label:

A name that is easier to read than an IP address or fully qualified domain name. Primary DNS for example.

Timer:

How often each monitoring location will run the test. A 2 minute timer mean that each configured monitoring location will perform a test every 2 minutes.

Hostname:

Fully qualified hostname (server3.example.com), or a public IP address

Time Zone:

The time zone used when viewing reports for this monitor.

Port:

The TCP port to be tested

Timeout:

Number of seconds before a TCP timeout occurs.
